Cross-country ski or snowshoe in the Rossland range! With over 180km of
interconnected trails winding through our forested slopes, many of
which trace back to the late 1800’s and early 1900’s, the area offers
outstanding multi-sport opportunities for all ability levels. Following
old wagon roads, rail grades, and even smuggler’s routes, trails range
from wide and gently angled historic rail grades to winding paths
through forested glades and across streams. Climb past historic mining
ruins to panoramic vistas, or challenge yourself with precipitous drops,
jumps and stunts for expert mountain bikers on the Seven Summits Trail.
Bearkat Lodge is the perfect base for adventure to access the Trans Canada Trail, or plan a day trip to nearby New Denver to hike into or paraglide from Idaho Peak with spectacular views overlooking Slocan Lake and the Valley of 1000 peaks.
